| I remember when I went through this, the eastern borders wanted the title mailed in 72 hours in advance, while Sarnia/Port Huron accepted a fax in advance. Since I was buying the car a few hours directly south of Sarnia, I chose this border, called them in advance and coordinated the steps they wanted me to take, faxed them a copy of the title as per their instructions, and was then able to simply show up with the original title on the spot when I was crossing over. I'm not sure what it will mean for you to mail out your original title before selling the Z, but for what it's worth, I am personally friends with the potential buyer you are dealing with right now, and can vouch for his character.
